August 1, 2009, 9:53 A.M.,
Reported wire down on the highway, RT 32 and Aquetong Road, Solebury
Township, Chief 46 and Tac 46 responded but were recalled as no fire
services were needed, Fire Police were dispatched to close Rt 32 between
Rt 232 and Aquetong Road, till the roadway could be cleared. 8 fire
personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 4 hours of volunteers
time. 4 Fire Police were on duty for 4 hours consuming 16 hours of volunteer
fire police personnel.
August 2, 2009, 12:45 P.M. Reported tree and wires down on Rt 263 near
Comfort Road, Solebury Township, Deputy 46, Battalion 46 and Tac 46
responded, roadway was closed. Fire Police controlled traffic till the
wires and tree were cleared from the roadway. Fire Police and Fire Personnel
were on duty for 3.5 hours.
August 3, 2009, 2:04 A.M., Reported wire on fire, Aquetong Road and
Squire Lane, Solebury Township, Chief 46 and Tac 46 responded, Chief
46 recalled the Tac and held it at the station, no fire services were
needed, 3 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 1.5 hours
of volunteer time.
August 3, 2009, 1:18 P.M., Wires burning in a tree, Lower Mountain Road,
Solebury Township, Deputy 46 and Tac 46 responded, No fire services
were needed, Fire Police were dispatched to control traffic till the
Electric Company could clear the tree, 8 fire personnel were on duty
for 30 minutes, consuming 4 hours of volunteers time, 2 fire police
were on duty for 2 hours consuming 4 hours of fire police time.
August 3, 2009, 4:48 P.M., Alarm System, Deerfield Court, Solebury Township,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, the dwelling was checked and no fire
services were needed, 8 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
4 hours of volunteer time.
August 4, 2009, 7:40 A.M., Alarm System, W. Bridge Street, New Hope
Boro, Deputy 46 responded and Engine 46 was on standby at the station,
no fire services were needed, 13 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes,
consuming 6.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 4, 2009, 7:42 P.M., Alarm System, Creekside Drive, Solebury Township,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, alarm was set off by a cooking incident,
no fire services were needed, 17 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes,
consuming 8.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 6, 2009, 2:22 P.M., Auto. Extrication, W. Mechanic Street, New
hope Boro, Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, Engine crew pried open
the driver door, secured the vehicle, so the New Hope/Lambertville Rescue
Squad and Central Bucks Medic's could render aid to the driver and remove
her from the vehicle. 10 fire personnel and 5 fire police were on duty
for 1 hour, consuming a total of 15 volunteer hours.
August 7, 2009, 9:55 A.M., Marine Rescue , Delaware River at the Wing
Dam, New Hope Boro, Twp people in a red canoe reported upset in the
dam, 4 marine company's were dispatched to the river and started searching
for them, the two people were able to make it back to shore on the New
Jersey side. 10 personnel from the Eagle were on duty for 1 hour consuming
10 hours of volunteers time. The three other marine unit company's had
a number of personnel on duty for the same period possible consuming
an additional 30 hours of volunteer time.
August 8, 2009, 3:18 P.M., Reported car fire, N. Main Street, New Hope
Boro, Chief 46, Deputy 46, Engine 46 and Engine 64 responded, it was
found no fire services were needed, smoke turned out to be steam, engines
were returned, 18 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 9
hours of volunteer time.
August 9, 2009, 5:52 P.M., Marine Rescue, Delaware River at the Wing
Dam, New Hope Boro, Reports were three people went threw the wing dam
requiring 3 marine unit's to be dispatched, Eagle Fire Company, New
Hope/Lambertville Rescue Squad and Upper Makefield Fire Company, No
injury's were reported, Marine unit's were in services for 1 hours with
approx. 15 personnel from the three company's were in service, consuming
15 hours of volunteer time.
August 9, 2009, Alarm System, S. Main and Mechanic Street New Hope Boro,
Chief 46, Battalion 46, and Engine 46 responded, building was checked
and no fire services were needed, faulty alarm system, 10 personnel
were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 5 hours of volunteer time.
August 10, 2009, 7:20 P.M., Alarm System, S. Main Street, New Hope Boro,
Battalion 46, Engine 46 responded, building was checked and no fire
services were needed, faulty alarm system, 8 personnel were on duty
for 30 minutes, consuming 4 hours of volunteer time.
August 11, 2009, 6:15 P.M., Wires in a building, Rittenhouse Court,
New Hope Boro, Chief 46, Engine 46 responded, Engine 46 was put on reduced
speed by the Chief, and no fire services were needed after the power
was secured, 20 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 10
hours of volunteer time.
August 13, 2009, 4:51 P.M., Alarm System, Center Bridge Road, Solebury
Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46, Tac 46, responded, alarm was set off
by a cooking incident, no fire services were needed and the company
was recalled, 15 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 7.5
hours of volunteer time.
August 14, 2009, 2:44 A.M., Reported dumpster fire, Rockwood Path, Solebury
Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46, Engine 46 and Tanker 46 responded, While
arriving heavy fire was showing in a larger dumpster, engine crew made
a fast knock down on the fire, but crew continued to work on it to make
sure the fire was out, 13 personnel were on duty for 1.5 hours consuming
19.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 14, 2009, 11:00 A.M., Alarm System, Meetinghouse Road, Solebury
Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46, Engine 46 was on standby, alarm set off
by a dusty smoke detector, 11 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes,
consuming 5.5 hours of volunteers time.
August 15, 2009, 4:05 A.M., Wires in a building, Rt 32, Solebury Township,
Chief 46, Deputy 46, Engine 46 and Tac 46 responded, power was secured
to the building, smoke was ventilated from the building, 10 personnel
were on duty for 1.5 hour, consuming 15 hours of volunteer time.
August 15, 2009, 6:39 P.M., Chief 46, Tower 46 was dispatched to the
City of Lambertville, for a possible building fire, Tower crew assisted
other fire personnel in searching the building, 7 personnel were on
duty for 1 hour, consuming 7 hours of volunteer time.
August 15, 2009, 8:32 P.M., Chief 46, Engine 46 responded to electric
motor on fire outside of a dwelling, power was secured to the unit and
no further fire company services were needed, 9 personnel were on duty
for 30 minutes, consuming 4.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 16, 2009, 11:02 A.M., Eagle Fire Company was dispatched for two
calls at the same time, the first was a marine rescue for two people
who went through the wing dam, bringing rescue boats from the New Hope/Lambertville
Rescue Squad, Upper Makefield Fire Company and Titusville N.J. Fire
Company, the two people were found on the New Jersey shore line, with
no injuries. 8 personnel from the Eagle Fire Company were on duty for
1 hour, consuming 8 hours of volunteers time, and each of the other
company's had approximately the same amount of volunteer respond.
The second call was an alarm system on Aquetong Road, Solebury Township,
which was recalled by the alarm company soon after dispatch. Chief 71
checked the alarm as he was responding to the river call and confirmed
is was accidental.
During the past two weeks the Eagle Fire Company alone has spent nearly
85 volunteers hours and at least the same amount of time has been spent
by three other volunteer Rescue Squads, searching the river in the area
of the wing dam for people who either do not pay attention or think
they can get through the wing dam with no problem. People must understand
this is a very dangerous part of the river and most people do not make
it through the dam without upsetting, some of these water accidents
have resulted in recoveries, as a few people have drowned.
August 16, 2009, 3:06 P.M., Alarm System, Chief 46 and Engine 46, responded,
dwelling was checked by the engine crew and no fire services were needed,
9 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 4.5 hours of volunteer
time.
August 16, 2009, 5:21 P.M., Auto Extrication, Rt 263 and Rt 32, Solebury
Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46, Engine 46 and Utility 46 responded, Engine
crew had to pry open a door on the driver side of one of the vehicle,
but before opening the door medical personnel had the driver out the
passenger side door, 9 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
4.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 16, 2009, 7:26 P.M., River Rescue, at the Wing Dam, New Hope
Boro, Chief 46, Deputy 46, Utility 46, and Tac 46 along with New Hope/
Lambertville Rescue Squad responded again to the wing dam for a person
in the river, person was located and no services rescue services were
needed, 11 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 5.5 hours
of volunteers time for the Eagle Fire Company and the same time for
the New Hope/Lambertville Rescue Squad.
August 18, 2009, 8:39 P.M., Alarm System, Aquetong Road, South of Old
Windy Bush Road, Solebury Township, Chief 46 responded, Engine 46 was
held at the station, no fire company services were needed, 16 personnel
were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 8 hours of volunteer time.
August 19, 2009, 5:56 A.M., Alarm System, W. Bridge Street, New Hope
Boro, Chief 46, Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, no fire company services
were needed, 7 Personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 3.5
hours of volunteer time.
August 19, 2009, 8:02 A.M., Alarm System, Rt 202, Solebury Township,
Deputy 46 responded, engine 46 was held at the station, no fire company
services were needed, 10 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
5 hours of volunteer time.
August 20, 2009, 3:05 P.M., Alarm System, S. Main Street, New Hope Boro,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, Engine 46 was held at the station,
while the building was checked by the Deputy 46, 6 personnel were on
duty for 30 minutes, consuming 3 hours of volunteer time.
August 22, 2009, 6:25 A.M., Eagle Fire Police along with Midway Fire
Police were dispatched, to assist with traffic control at Rt 263 and
Aquetong Road with a tree down blocking the roadway, Fire Police were
on duty for 2 hours, till the tree was removed.
August 22, 2009, 1:03 P.M., Alarm System, Bridge Street, New Hope Boro,
Chief 46, Deputy 46 and Engine 46, responded, Engine 46 was held at
the station, 7 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 3.5
hours of volunteer time.
August 22, 2009, 8:15 P.M., Alarm System, N. Sugan Road, New Hope Boro,
Chief 46, Engine 46 responded, building was checked, and no fire services
were needed, 8 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 4 hours
of volunteer time.
August 23, 2009, 5:11 A.M., Alarm System, Union Square, New Hope Boro,
Chief 46, Battalion 46, Engine 46 responded, nothing found from the
outside, 9 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 4.5 hours
of volunteer time.
August 26, 2009, 8:55 A.M., Alarm System, S. Main Street, New Hope Boro,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, the engine was held at the station,
10 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 5 hours of volunteer
time.
August 28, 2009, 5:24 A.M., Alarm System, N. Main Street, New Hope Boro,
Chief 46, Deputy 46, responded, alarm was recalled and the engine was
held at the station, 6 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
3 hours of volunteer time.
August 28, 2009, 11:37 P.M., Alarm System, N. Main Street, New Hope
Boro, Chief 46, Deputy 46 and Engine 46, Engine 46 was held at the station,
building was checked by the Chief, 11 personnel were on duty for 30
minutes, consuming 5.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 29, 2009, 1:01 P.M., Alarm System, Stoney Hill Road, Solebury
Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, continuous alarm
problem with works on location not covering the alarm. 11 personnel
were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 5.5 hours of volunteer time.
August 31, 2009, 5:23 A.M.,
Alarm System, Jason Court, Solebury Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46, and
Engine 46 responded, malfunction alarm, no fire services were needed,
6 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 3 hours of volunteers
time.
August 31, 2009, 5:14 P.M., Reported Truck Fire, Rt 32 and Windy Bush
Road, New Hope Boro, Chief 46, Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, Engine
46 was recalled because the fire was out on the arrival of the Chief's,
13 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 6.5 hours of volunteers
time.
