July 1, 2009, 1:54 P.M.,
Alarm System, W. Bridge Street, New Hope Boro, Engine 46 was recalled
by Deputy 46 after he checked the alarm 9 personnel were on duty for
30 minutes, consuming 4.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 2, 2009, 5:08 A.M., Alarm System, Bridge & Main Street, New
Hope Boro, Engine 46 and Battalion 46 responded, building was checked
and no fire services were needed, 10 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes,
consuming 5 hours of volunteer time.
July 2, 2009, 8:23 A.M., Alarm System, Riverwoods Drive, New Hope Boro,
Engine 46 and Deputy 46 responded, dwelling was checked and no fire
services were needed. 10 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
5 hours of volunteer time.
July 3, 2009, 9:16 P.M., Alarm System, Middle Road, Solebury Township,
Engine 46 and Chief 46 responded, Engine 46 was returned as no fire
services were needed, 11 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
5.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 10, 2009, 1:38 P.M., Reported smoke in a dwelling, on Tori Court,
Solebury Township, Deputy 46, Engine 46 and Tower 46, responded, Engine
and Tower crew checked the dwelling and found that an appliance over
heated, 16 personnel were on duty for 1 hour, consuming 16 hours of
volunteer time.
July 12, 2009, 12:04 A.M., Alarm System, Rt 32, Solebury Township, Deputy
46 and Engine 46 responded, Engine crew had a hard time gaining entrance
to the property because of a gated driveway and no responder to open
the gate or the dwelling, dwelling was finally checked from the outside,
10 personnel were on duty for 1 hours, consuming 10 hours of volunteer
time.
July 12, 2009, 5:49 A.M., Alarm System, N. Main Street, New Hope Boro,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, Engine was returned after finding
the alarm was set off by a cooking incident, 8 personnel were on duty
for 30 minutes, consuming 4 hours of volunteer time.
July 12, 2009, 6:35 P.M., Alarm System, Rt 32, Solebury Township, Engine
46 along with Battalion 46 responded, dwelling was checked and everything
appeared safe from the outside of the dwelling, 13 personnel were on
duty for 30 minutes, consuming 6.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 13, 2009, 6:46 P.M., Reported dwelling fire on Pidcock Creek Road,
Solebury Township, Assistant 46, Deputy 46, Engine 46 and Tanker 46
responded, Assistant 46 reported a light smoke condition in the house
coming from the hot water heater, everything except Engine 46 was returned,
17 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 8.5 hours of volunteers
time.
July 14, 2009, 6:29 P.M., Reported strong smell in the area of Ney Alley
and Mechanic Street, New Hope Boro, Chief 46 and Engine 46 responded,
engine was returned after the Chief determined no fire services were
need, 15 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 7.5 hours
of volunteers time.
July 14, 2009, The Eagle Fire Company is pleased to announce it has
taken delivery of a new, 18 foot air boat. Two members, Chief Forbes
and Daryl Jurbala, drove to Orange, Texas. Leaving New Hope on Saturday
they traveled a total of 1460 miles each way, received training on the
new boat, and returned on Tuesday afternoon with the new air boat. Training
of members started Tuesday evening and will continue until all boat
operators are fully trained in operations.
The new air boat is all aluminum construction, power by a 6 titter V8
engine, seating for a crew of three, two, 1.4 million candle power search
lights, has 1/4 inch. polymer on the bottom of the boat to help protect
the bottom and also helps the boat move on land. The cost of the new
search and rescue boat is costing the Eagle Fire Company $47,000.00
including the trailer.
July 14, 2009, 8:37 P.M., Reported Dwelling Fire, Norwalk Way, Solebury
Township, Chief 46, Engine 46, Tac 46, Tanker 46 and Tower 46 responded,
a check of the dwelling was made from the inside and outside and no
fire was found, 20 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming
10 hours of volunteer time.
July 15, 2009, 12:19 P.M., Alarm System, W. Bridge Street, New Hope
Boro, Chief and Deputy 46, responded, and held the engine and crew at
the station after confirming the alarm was set off by a cooking incident,
14 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 7 hours of volunteer
time.
July 16, 2009, 2:39 P.M., Tanker 46 was dispatched to assist Midway
Fire Company, with a reported dwelling fire, 14 personnel were on duty
for 1 hour, consuming 14 hours of volunteer time.
July 18, 2009, 3:02 P.M., Alarm System, Covered Bridge Road, Solebury
Township, Chief 46 held the engine at the station after receiving a
call from the alarm system, 9 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes,
consuming 4.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 19, 2009, 12:13 A.M., Alarm System, Aquetong Road, Solebury Township,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, engine 46 and crew were returned,
no fire company services were need, 10 personnel were on duty for 30
minutes, consuming 10 hours of volunteer time.
July 19, 2009, 4:12 P.M., Alarm System, Sugan Road, Solebury Township,
Chief 46 and Engine 46 responded, Chief 46 checked the dwelling and
found no fire services were needed. 11 personnel were on duty for 30
minutes, consuming 5.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 21, 2009, 9:00 A.M., Alarm System, Logan Square, Solebury township,
Engine 46 was held at the station after Deputy 46 checked the alarm
and found no fire services were needed, 8 personnel were on duty for
30 minutes, consuming 4 hours of volunteer time.
July 21,2009, 7:33 P.M., Vehicle Fire, Deer Path and Riverview Court,
New Hope Boro, Chief 46, Engine 46, Tanker 46 and Utility 46 responded,
vehicle was fully engulfed in fire when the Engine arrived on scene
crews where able to make a quick knock down of the fire. Cause of the
fire in under investigation, and the driver reported he only drove a
short distance when he saw smoke coming into the car and stopped and
called the Fire Company and removed his thing from the car. 20 personnel
on duty for 1 hour, consuming 20 hours of volunteer time.
July 22, 2009, 3:10 P.M., Stuck Elevator, River Road, New Hope Boro,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded but Engine 46 was returned to the
station. 12 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 6 hours
of volunteer time.
July 26, 2009, 4:33 P.M., Tanker 46 was dispatched to assist Upper Makefield
Fire Company, for a reported dwelling fire, after the Chief arrived
on location Tanker 46 was returned. 15 personnel were on duty for 30
minutes, consuming 7.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 26, 2009, 9:24 P.M., Alarm System, Aquetong Road, Solebury Township,
Engine 46 and deputy 46 responded, alarm was checked by Deputy 46 and
no fire services were needed, 17 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes,
8.5 hours of volunteer time.
July 26, 2009, 9:32 P.M., Reported dwelling fire on Summer Lea Court,
New Hope Boro, Fire was confined to the garage area of the house, fast
response and quick action by the Engine 46's crew saved the fire from
getting into the home. The fast response was cause by an earlier alarm
call and the Engine was still out. Also responding were Tower 46, Tanker
46 and two Engine from the City of Lambertville along with the New Hope/Lambertville
Rescue Squad, Midway Fire Company covered New Hope Fire Company during
the fire call. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the New
Hope Boro Fire Marshall. 21 personnel were on duty for 1 hour, consuming
21 hours of volunteer time.
July 28, 2009, 3:51 P.M., Alarm System, Bobwhite Road, Solebury Township,
Deputy 46 and Engine 46 responded, Engine 46 was held at the station,
dwelling was checked with the owner and no fire services were needed.
11 personnel were on duty for 30 minutes, consuming 5.5 hours of volunteer
time.
July 31, 2009, 6:25 A.M., Alarm System, Paxson Road, Solebury Township,
Chief 46, Battalion 46 and Engine 46 responded, dwelling was checked
and no fire services were needed. 9 personnel were on duty for 1 hour,
consuming 9 hours of volunteer time.
July 31, 2009, 6:59 P.M., Reported fumes in a dwelling, Bobwhite Road,
Solebury Township, Chief 46, Deputy 46, and Engine 46 responded, the
dwelling was checked with gas meters with no evidence of gas fumes,
dwelling was also checked by the P.E.C.O gas repair service, no further
fire services were needed, 15 personnel were on duty for 1 hour consuming
15 hours of volunteer time.
